WACSA Best PhD Student Paper Awards 2011

Career Development Seminar Featuring Invited Talks from Prominent
Chinese WA Scientist and Engineers

     

The WACSA 2011 Best Ph.D. Student Paper Awards, Platinum, Gold, and Silver, are created to promote excellence in research and to assist the career development of young Chinese PhD students studying in WA, to promote excellence in research, and to foster closer ties between young PhD students and professional scholars with the Chinese background. The WACSA Awards Certificates together Cash Prize from $200 to $500 will be issued. The end of the year awards will be run together with the invited talks from prominent Chinese scientists and engineers from WA. This annual WACSA
Conference is also supported by the Federation of Chinese Scholars in Australia (FOCSA).


Chinese Ph.D students studying in WA are encouraged to submit their journal and high quality conference papers published in 2010 and 2011 to WACSA in pdf format together with a short description highlighting the significance, innovation, and unique contributions of their research. An expert known to the field can also be nominated as the reference/examiner of the paper. WACSA Committee and invited experts will rank the papers, and formal WACSA certificates will be issued to the winners at WACSA Conference 2011 at the end of the year, featuring invited talks from prominent Chinese scientists and engineers from WA.


Curtin and UWA PhD students should submit their papers to the WACSA Vice-Presidents at their universities through email. Papers from all other universities and organizations can be emailed to WACSA Secretary Professor Yuxia Hu, or WACSA President Professor Xiaozhi Hu.


The deadline of submission is the 31st October 2011.
